CARE, also known as the ‘Generative’ or ‘lost’ principle, is what drives action and material manifestation. That which matters, ‘matters’ - becomes matter - as spelt out clearly in the first Hermetic Principle, ‘All Is Mind’. In a world dominated by dark care, it is necessary to distinguish True Care as that form of care which is in alignment with Free Will Right. This is the indispensable quality which drives us towards enlightenment and the healing of our world.
Only through the essential spiritual trinity of Truth, Love and Freedom can heaven on Earth be attained. True Care aligns with the aspect of love that is meant in this trinity: not love of the self, nor brotherly, familial or romantic love, but universal and unconditional love - love of life itself.
TRUE CARE means: conscience; moral sense; readiness to distinguish and reject delusion; pursuing and aligning with knowledge; discernment; wanting to know; loving Truth.
True Care is what brings us to an understanding of Natural Law.
And you will know the Truth, and the Truth shall set you Free
~ JC
And the Truth is: we are free. Free to Care or not to Care. Free to take both Right and Wrong Action.
If we truly Care enough we can perceive the Truth of Natural Law - the way things Truly are - the only foundation for sanity. But we live in an age of delusion in which The Law is all but forgotten - in which ignorance and denial of Natural Law bring incessant and worsening discord and chaos. Because order is inherent in existence, and because chaos has become so entrenched, it can be easy to shrug off the extent of the chaos we inhabit and to mistake this world - the only one we know - for normality.
It is easy to forget that, long since, the people have been violently torn from a just, natural and Right relationship with their own lands, made homeless waifs at the mercy first of psychopaths, and then of corporations - imaginary entities whose sole, stated and accepted reason for being is the infinite extraction of maximum value with deliberate and complete disregard for what is moral, right, proper, good, true or beautiful. That the very worst thieves and liars ponce about on jets, yachts and private islands. That the most self loathing, philosophically docile and morally inept ignoramuses are assigned to violently ‘protect’ us from our very selves - and congratulated for their ‘service’.
Be in no doubt: as yielding and as robust as we undoubtedly are; as much as we learn to relish what little freedom we do have; as much creativity, humanity and beauty as we bring to the most dystopic of conditions, this is a world in abject moral chaos. The sorry state in which humanity subsists is nothing short of a cosmic embarrassment.
Natural Law bestows the golden rule, “do unto others as you would have done unto you”. But in this unnaturally Lawless age, Lawlessness resulting in material ‘benefit’ is perceived as success, and the basis for action in vast swathes of ‘reality’ has degenerated into, “anything goes and may the worst man win”.
“Property”, which rightly refers to that which one has the right and proper use of, has become a legalised means of enacting systemic theft and trespass against the right of all others; a tool of infinite acquisition and the dispossession of humanity’s Free Will Right, with no moral legitimacy whatsoever. Our universal acquiescence to this immoral ‘code’ might be described as ‘Carelessness'.
CARELESSNESS means: Apathy; the negation or absence of conscience; no moral sense; the unwillingness to distinguish or reject delusion; willful ignorance; not wanting to know; aligning with falsehood; succumbing to fear; hatred or rejection of Truth.
This great poison of Carelessness manifests in the three forms known to antiquity: IGNORANCE, ANGER and GREED.
IGNORANCE, meaning; the ignoring of reality, Truth, Natural Law. It means dreaming that we can get away with being selfish lazy cowards - or simply never facing the inevitability that we cannot.
ANGER, meaning: false pride; contemptuousness and rigid attachment to beliefs rather than Truth. Holding up delusion as wisdom. Refusing to hear or acknowledge Truth. Caring more about seeming right than what is right.
GREED, meaning: the elevation of material comfort, status, safety & self-image over Truth. Aiming low; stopping at self-love without proceeding to universal Love; placing the self above the whole.
Carelessness is Evil - no matter how normal it can come to seem. A Careless world is an Evil world: a world without Care.
Creation grants the conscious being Free Will within a boundaried framework of consequence. This is Natural Law: fuck around and find out.
In relation to Right, ‘fucking around' means Carelessness: laziness, cowardice, greed and nihilism. 'Finding out' manifests as a world of chaos, fear, lack, enslavement, the complete degradation of human potential and the death of the imaginative capacity to envision a different world.
The desire to get away with it - to escape Natural Law - is an understandable impulse, especially when we see little to inspire us otherwise. But where does such behaviour ultimately lead?
You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
~ Ayn Rand
Those who destroy The Law will move from one great hell to another.
~ The Larger Wisdom Sutra
But the clever fools who ‘benefit’ materially from humanity’s ongoing ignorance of Natural Law would sooner rule in hell than serve in heaven.
In the next instalment, I’ll look at dark care, the hallucination of separation, the tyrannical impulse and how we enact it.

IN OTHER NEWS:
I’ve released the first song in my series, New Moon Tunez:
"How Did It Come To This"
A love letter from humanity to order followers: the lost boys. Below are the lyrics and an indulgent ramble about the song from my perspective.
It’s available on three different platforms. The second, Bandcamp, is where you can buy a download. If you prefer a different platform, please let me know via this very short poll. I thank you.
NOTE! What follows is an utterly self indulgent, self congratulatory and possibly indecipherable ramble about the song. When it comes to songwriting, I am my biggest cheerleader and niche geek fanatic, which is perhaps how it has to be. You have been warned!
This song landed in a tent on Dartmoor one sunny afternoon in summer 2023. It has a mysterious quality to me - very clear themes emerging through a lightly sketched narrative. I recorded it straight after the camp as I knew it was one of those I wasn't likely to be banging out down the open mic or maybe ever playing again... I went back to mix it in late 2024, reconnecting with the weight of feeling that went into it.
A sad song for a sad time (I know, I know, it's a joyous time too, kinda... one song at at time, tho). It's about lost and deluded men; most if not all of us. Ladies don't get a pass either but I don't feel that so keenly - or feel such a response ability to speak on it. The song could be about an old friend trashed by the streets, lost to drugs or despond, or conversely to worldly 'success', nihilism, political 'correctness', and on and on... But no men are quite as thoroughly lost and deluded and harmful to humanity and freedom as the order followers, so I focused on them for the simple video and graphic.
I'm happy with the way the structure of the song evolved. The narrative, such as it is, runs backwards, which is perfect, though it happened 'accidentally'. If the story had come out linearly it would be less interesting and have much less gravitas or interest. For me, the last verse pays off, conveying why I cared enough about this fella to write a song about him in the first place - he just 'kept singing on' as the battle raged on. The deliberate (!?) vagueness here lets you fill in the blanks... Whatever it's referring to, he made an impact back in the day - all you really need to know - and the change of tense from 'keep' to 'kept' is actual genius, if I may say so - and I may. Such a simple dip into the past and straight back. Precise, bold, meaningful. Thank you muses.
There are quite a few lines I love in this song - the unexpected colloquial rhyme, 'your bro', ye olde fashioned 'good friend of old', me self-referencing an older song, 'brother brother brother', which might even be an unintentional reference to a CRASS song, as my mum (Eve Libertine) pointed out a while back... cycles within cycles... I like the word victory in the chorus relating to self knowledge - like, the external victory ain't shit next to that.
The start of the second verse, 'Turning back the pages' is just so clean and simple, does what it says on the tin and gets you there, yet doesn't feel cliched to me. 'Glory days', like 'victory' is lovely to me, as it keeps the glory small and intimate - we know what is meant by it (hopefully) - it's not some mission out there, it's right here. It's sweet. The glory days - and all TRUE glory - has to be about presence - carpe diem - which is always available. 'You knew better/ you thought you knew it all' really stings... There's the rub - the arrogance of youth, and then all these lost men. Glory going to the head. Ouch.
The whole bridge, "Brother, I love ya, I'll never forsake ya, I'll wait for you in the dawn, I'll be singing your song", gets me every time, to be honest. It avoids with panache, sincerity and brevity the dual risks of the song being either condescending or hopeless. This is the only message we can give the order followers: come back to humanity. We love you. We're waiting. We need you. More tears.
Sincerely AF,
Neem.

How Did It Come To This
I saw you on the street, oh no
Nothing on your feet, oh no
You're reaching out to me, oh no
Eyes too clouded to see your bro
Your good friend of old
The one who knows your soul
Chorus:
Brother brother brother, how did it come to this?
You’re walking in the darkness where once you knew bliss
When a man knows himself, victory is his
How did it come to this?
Turning back the pages, I remember
In the glory days, you knew better
You thought you knew the score
The future was yours
You thought you knew it all
You thought you knew it all
Chorus
Brother, I love ya
I'll never forsake ya
I'll wait for you in the dawn
I'll be singing your song
It's the first time that we meet, oh yeah
Friend or enemy? Well it's clear
As the battle rages on
You keep singing on
You kept singing on
So tell me what went wrong?
Chorus
